Michael Caruth is a dedicated public servant and community leader with nearly twenty years of experience serving the people of Arizona's White Mountains. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to integrity, accountability, and service through leadership roles in education, community development, and regional governance.
Most recently, Michael served as Regional Director for First Things First in the Navajo and Apache region, where he worked collaboratively with local governments, tribal nations, educators, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders. In this role, he oversaw regional planning efforts, supported public governance and funding initiatives, facilitated community engagement, and ensured compliance with Arizona's Open Meeting Law.
Prior to joining First Things First, Michael held several positions with Blue Ridge Unified School District, including Preschool Director, N.A.V.I.T. Career Technician and Advisor, and Information Technology Technician — providing extensive experience in program administration, budgeting, regulatory compliance, personnel management, and public service.
Michael holds a Career and Technical Education State Certification from Northland Pioneer College and completed coursework in Business Management and Marketing at Arizona State University. His broad professional experience has equipped him with strong skills in governance, public engagement, strategic planning, conflict resolution, and collaborative decision-making.
